Artist Meier Williams specialises in Equine art. Driven by a compulsion to understand the nature of the horse and its relationship with man, she has worked with horse whisperers in Spain, with the magnificence Andalusian horse, the Cowboys and explosive Quarter horse of Oklahoma USA and with the hill farmers and ponies of Dartmoor. The culmination of over four years' work, Meier's recent book "Ponies of Dartmoor" combines illustration, mix media and photography with documentary writings of her journey in understanding the Pony's relationship with the Dartmoor hill farmer in the beautiful and historical setting of Dartmoor National Park, South West UK.
Based in Cornwall, South-West England (just over the bridge from Plymouth, UK), Meier's relentless passion for her work has diversified her skills with a growing portfolio of work in areas including Textiles, Costume and Theatre Design as well as work in Education.
